Our Family Care Program is blessed to enable volunteers to come alongside incredible families in our communities that are in need of specific types of support in order to create sustainable solutions. We believe God designed us to do life in community with others. In some situations, "community" can look like a temporary hosting for families in complex situations. Here is what one amazing mom had to say about her experience with Safe Families; "Safe Families has been a great support system for me and my child during this transitional period in our lives. I feel like we were placed the perfect match for a host family because I know my child is safe, happy, and loved in their home."
Where Does Financial Support of ICM Go?
When you give to the ministry of ICM, you are helping us fulfill the mission of glorifying God by restoring and empowering families. But what does this look like in a practical sense? The answer is that it looks like many scenarios, but here is one example. When you give to ICM, you enable vulnerable individuals and families to receive counseling services that will never turn them away regardless of ability to pay. Did you know that in central Illinois, most counseling services cost around 100-150 dollars per session? For those without insurance to help offset the cost, receiving appropriate mental health services is often not an option. Other times, those needing services go on long waiting lists and have a limited number of session available to them. At ICM we are honored to offer high quality counseling services to those in need where ability to pay and number of sessions available are not determining factors in the care our clients receive. Thank you for giving to ICM and enabling us to offer this much needed service!
