After dreaming of being a mother for many years and completing the many steps involved in becoming approved to adopt, Jessica anxiously awaited the day that she would get the news from her international adoption placement agency that she was matched with a child. In March 2019, that dream became a reality when Jessica received a referral for Siana, a beautiful two-year-old girl from Colombia with sparkling brown eyes and the most radiant smile. Now, almost eight months later, Siana is thriving at home with Jessica. After having spent a month in Colombia with Siana, Jessica brought her new daughter home to Illinois in June 2019. Jessica shared that Siana is super fun, spunky, giggly, and hilarious, and that she also has a strong-willed side! She loves Elmo, going on outings with Jessica, playing outside, doing puzzles, and spending time with all of "her people"! Despite all of the changes that Siana has undergone, she and Jessica are developing an incredible bond, and it has been ICM's privilege to witness their beautiful mother/daughter relationship. ICM looks forward to continuing to be a part of Jessica and Siana's adoption journey!
Christmas Gift Drive
This year we hope to provide gifts and gift cards for each child that has been placed with ICM in 2019. Since many of our families are already financially strapped coming into the holiday season, receiving gifts at Christmas is a tangible reminder and celebration of their worth & Jesus' love for them.
