YOUNG FAMILY SUPPORT MINISTRY

A MOTHER-CHILD INDEPENDENT LIVING MINISTRY
For young women 18-25 years of age who are pregnant, and/or a
mother with up to two pre - schoolers

THE GOAL of YFSM:  
To assist young women and their children to become self-supporting, responsible members of their community and church. 
  

The YFSM PROGRAM PROVIDES:                  

  • A Home
  • Food and Clothing – on a limited basis
  • Education such as:
    • Parenting Classes
    • Job Search Skills                      
    • Budgeting      
    • Time Management
                                                                                                                                                                                      
  • Case Management – each family is assigned a trained, licensed caseworker
  • Spiritual Growth opportunities through Bible Studies and church involvement       

Participants in this program:

  • Are to be employed or in school or a combination of the two full time
  • Are to have their own reliable transportation
  • Must be willing to participate 6 mos. or longer to facilitate stability
  • Are to contribute 10% of their income to ICM
  • Are to participate in Bible study on an individual and/or group basis
  • Are to strive for success in reaching the goals set by them and the program. Cooperation in this matter is expected.
