My Family is in...Crisis!
Families Face Some of These Crises Everyday
I am ill and need long term recovery
My husband lost his job
I need substance abuse rehabilitation
I am to the point I don't know what to do with my child's behavior
I am single and pregnant again
I feel I could hurt my child
The kids' dad has left us
I've got to finish school to get a job to support my child
I want to correct our problems without DCFS involvement
I want a Christian perspective to help me with my problems and the children
My 15-yr. old daughter is pregnant
I am going to jail
"What do I do with the CHILDREN
until this crisis is over?"
Send them to relatives? Send them to friends?
Just wait until the situation gets bad enough that the
Department of Children and Family Services gets involved?
The answer could be in working with God
"No temptation has overtaken you but such as is common to man;
and God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted beyond what you are able, but with temptation will provide the way to escape also that you may be able to endure it." 1 Corinthians 10:13

Until I am through this crisis I need help.
Some crisis lasts longer than we like even if we handle crisis without too much undue stress. Most communities have enough public and private social service agencies in place to help with most of the problems that a family will encounter in a lifetime. But a major problem that families under stress or crisis face is not always addressed.
ICM operates statewide and has the resources of churches and other organizations to draw from to help.
