FAMILY CRISIS MINISTRY Intact Family Preservation
Since 1967 the Illini Christian Ministries, Inc has focused on preserving families and protecting and caring for children at risk all over Illinois. Our first desire is to keep families intact during a time of crisis if at all possible. If this is not possible we have the option of Christian Family Foster Care (CFFC) where children are nurtured and loved until they can be reunited with their families. Whether the problem is abuse, neglect, crisis pregnancy, a runaway child, a behavior problem child, a parent's inability to care for their child due to death, illness, lack of ability to parent, or family dysfunction ICM can help. ICM is unique in that the children we serve in Christian Family Foster Care are received directly from the parent or guardian of the child or from a court appointed placement. No DCFS children are served in our program. We do ask that families to pay for their children's care on an ability to pay basis. Each foster home is licensed and monitored by ICM, not DCFS. Christian Family Foster Care is not limited by DCFS standards when it comes to religious instruction. We are free to pray, instruct children in Biblical principles and to display Christ's love throughout our daily lives What strengthens and restores the child and the family is their ability to deal with the whole person, their spirit, mind, and body.
