Adoption Ministry
You are about to embark on a most wonderful journey! It is the policy of Illini Christian Ministries to prohibit preferential treatment to any board member, contributors, volunteers, employees, agents, consultants or independent contractors or their relatives. Preferential treatment means any action that would allow any part to receive considerations with respect to the placement of a child or any matter that related to adoption services different or more favorably than any other applicant. Illini Christian Ministries assesses fees only for the services of home studies, post placement, and domestic placement of an infant. The above policy is in effect for all services. It is agency policy to enter agreements with only reputable licensed agencies in the placement of children. It is our policy to prohibit any situation that would be considered child buying. Illini Christian Ministries strives to help families be successful in their adoptions. There are times that the child(ren) you wish to adopt would not be a good match to your family, and therefore could cause of lot of heartache. Help us by evaluating yourself with these guidelines. Interested in becoming an adoptive family? Please contact our Director of Adoption Ministry to find out how to get started. Here is a small list of some web resources that adoptive families may find helpful:
